Calling all Fans: Kathy Reichs is Coming

Yes, you read that right: THE Kathy Reichs is coming right here to your Shorewood Library. The forensic anthropologist turned bestselling author of the Temperance Brennan series and the young adult series called Virals, will be here on Tuesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Thanks to an ongoing - and awesome - partnership with Boswell Book Company, we'll be welcoming Ms. Reichs and her co-author (and son) Brendan Reichs, to promote the newest book in the Virals series (before you ask: I'm sure she'll also answer some of your Bones-related questions).

Virals follows teenaged niece of Tempe Brennan, Tory Brennan, on a science fiction adventure like no other. Just like her famous aunt, Tory is science obsessed. Lucky for her, she and her socially awkward professor dad live on a remote research island the residents of which include some other teenage "sci-philes" as they call themselves. Headstrong and brilliant Tory is their de facto leader. In book one, Virals, Tory and her band of friends rescue a dog from medical testing and their lives are changed forever. I won't spoil it - suffice to say that their adventures take on a somewhat canine overtone from then on.

Reichs wrote books one and two solo, but brought in her son Brendan to help with books three and four. Pick up the Virals series and you're a fan of thriller mysteries like the Temperance Brennan books, James Patterson's work, or even other YA sci-fi thrillers like James Dashner's The Maze Runner or Michael Grant's Gone. 

We're looking forward to having a packed house for the Reichs visit, so please do share this info with all the fanatics you know! As always with the author visits we present with Boswell Books, the Reichs will both happily sign autographs and take pictures with you. Bring your own books, or be ready to purchase some there. Boswell Books will be on hand selling as many of Kathy Reichs' books as they can fit on two long tables!
