The Friends of the Shorewood Public Library is a non-profit organization whose members support the mission of the library.
The mission of the Friends of the Shorewood Public Library is to provide financial and volunteer support to the library.
The Friends envisions itself as an advocate for the Shorewood Public Library, ensuring that the library remains a vital and essential part of village life.
What do the Friends do?
Volunteer time at the library, performing tasks such as shelf reading and assisting at major events
Manage a book sale shelf inside the library stocked with donated materials
Raise funds from the book sale and other efforts to help the library purchase special resources, like the Lucky Day Collection, BookPage, and a Little Free Library, and sponsor special events for the community, including the annual Summer Celebration
