Madhuri Vijay Author Visit

Tuesday, January 15

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Location: Village Center Meeting Rooms

Debut novelist and Lawrence University (Appleton, WI) alumna, Madhuri Vijay, joins us on the release date of The Far Field, the story of a young woman seeking answers to family mysteries in the far reaches of Kashmir, India. With rare acumen and evocative prose, Vijay masterfully examines Indian politics, class prejudice, and sexuality through the lens of an outsider, offering a profound meditation on grief, guilt, and the limits of compassion.

The Far Field has received starred reviews (Publisher's Weekly, Booklist), is an Indie Next Selection, and a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers Selection.
