SHELVER
The Shorewood Public Library is seeking to hire shelvers to fill upcoming vacancies on our team. This 10 hour per week position is great for high school students: the schedule is flexible and the work is complex but not fast-paced.
Shelvers play a vital role at the library by ensuring materials are put back on the shelves in the right spot and by keeping spaces in a neat and orderly fashion. Shelvers must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. See the full job description HERE.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed two years of high school and have eligibility for a Child Labor permit if 14 or 15 years old.
- Must be able to work during the school year in addition to the summer, including evenings and weekends. Scheduling is flexible and can work around most academic and extracurricular needs.

YOUTH SERVICES LIBRARIAN
The Shorewood Public Library is seeking a customer-focused and creative librarian to join our team. The Youth Services Librarian provides high quality reference service to all ages with a focus on ages birth through six grade, caregivers, and teachers. The position also includes collection development, programming, advising on policy, and advocating for youth. This is a 40-hour per week position that requires evening and weekend shifts and reports to the Director of Library Services. Benefits include paid holidays and vacation, health and dental insurance, and Wisconsin Retirement System enrollment. The pay range for this position is $27.42-$38.38 per hour, and the starting pay depends on experience and qualifications.

- SHELVERS - 10 hours per week, no benefits. Responsibilities: shelving and collection maintenance.
- CLERKS - 10-40 hours per week. Responsibilities: circulation customer service, collection maintenance, and management.
- LIBRARY ASSOCIATE - Full time. Responsibilities: circulation, reference, and collection management.
- LIBRARIANS - Full-time. MLIS required. Responsibilities: reference, acquisitions, technical services, programming, and many other varied duties.
