A Century of Shorewood Architecture: Come Learn about the Houses on Your Block

Wednesday, October 26

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Location: Shorewood Village Center

Bungalows, Colonials, Mediterranians, Prairie Style, and Tudors - Shorewood homes, apartments, and businesses reflect the Village’s history. Kathy Kean, President of the Shorewood Historical Society, will highlight a variety of 20th century architectural styles using local examples. Bring your questions and stories about your house and neighborhood.

Following Kathy's presentation, Community and Adult Services Librarian Hayley Johnson will provide an overview of Kanopy, Shorewood Public Library's video streaming service. Attendees have the option to stay for the screening of The American House: A Guide to Architectural Styles (24 minutes), a brief documentary that lets popular architectural styles "tell their stories."

This program is co-sponsored by the Shorewood Historical Society and the Shorewood Public Library.
