Virtual National Day of Reading

Thursday, February 16

12:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for National Day of Reading in celebration of stories supporting   transgender and non-binary youth.

Volunteer readers from the community will share picture book stories in the hopes of supporting and affirming transgender and non-binary youth in our community, inspiring thoughtful discussions, and creating understanding and acceptance. Links to the virtual readings will be available on our website and Facebook page. The readings will also be shared with students in area schools.

The annual National Day of Reading is a joint project of the Human Rights Campaign, National Education Association, and American Association of School Librarians. Shorewood's National Reading Day is sponsored by the Shorewood Public Library and Shorewood School District.
