Better Brain, Better Life: A Workshop
Thursday, May 1
6:30 pm
Location: Shorewood Village Center
What if mental health wasn’t just about fixing what’s wrong, but strengthening the systems that make us whole? In this engaging and interactive workshop, licensed psychotherapist and brain health coach Iman L. Khan will explore brain health as the foundation of total health. Attendees will leave with simple tools they can use right away, and a deeper understanding of how to care for the most powerful organ we have. Whether you're supporting your own well-being or you're a parent curious about how to help your child thrive, this workshop will inspire you to see mental health through a new lens: not as pathology, but as possibility!
Iman L. Khan is the founder of Blooming Minds, a movement dedicated to reimagining mental health through self-awareness, emotional intelligence, compassion, and community. She is a Licensed Psychotherapist practicing in New York and Wisconsin with over 30 years of experience. Iman is a Brainspotting practitioner, certified mediator, speaker, and a singer and performing artist. Her work integrates science, creativity, and presence, helping people move from survival to self-actualization. She is a contributing author to Teaching Mindfulness Skills to Kids and Teens, and is currently writing her own book, Rebranding Mental Health: Moving from Pathology to Possibility. She also hosts a podcast called "Rebranding Mental Health", which challenges old definitions of mental health, reimagining it as total health for a thriving life.
This program is generously funded by the Friends of the Shorewood Public Library.
