How to Haunt: Ghost-Its
Friday, October 3
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Location: Shorewood Public Library Program Room
For over a decade, artist and writer Zack Pieper has created large-scale mosaics from small ghosts drawn in marker on hundreds to thousands of sticky notes, all carefully arranged in various shop front windows or gallery spaces. He has done this in several cities, often with the generous aid of the Mary L. Nohl Suitcase Export Fund.
This year, in conjunction with the creation and installation of over 2,000 new "Ghost-Its" at Lynden Sculpture Garden (show opening Saturday, November 1st), the spirits have instructed Zack to create two large ghost mosaics in the windows of the Shorewood Public Library.
Please join us for HOW TO HAUNT: GHOST-ITS, a brief presentation, followed by a marathon ghost-drawing session open to the public. Come help us conjure heaps of ghosts, crowds of ghosts, throngs of ghosts, a whole multitude of ghosts to haunt Shorewood Public Library.
This activity is open to all patrons, and families with children grades kindergarten through 5th grade are especially encouraged to attend. No special skills are required, and supplies will be provided. Every "ghost" is welcome.
