Revolutionary War Patriots to Wisconsin
Wednesday, July 29
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Location: Shorewood Village Center
The year 2026 marks America's 250th birthday, and to celebrate, we're taking a deep dive into Wisconsin's patriotic past. Revolutionary War Patriots came with their families to the newly opened land of the Wisconsin Territory as early as the 1820s. What states did they come from and where did they settle in the new state of Wisconsin?

Anni Parsons, MLIS, is the owner of Archive Your Past, and a librarian on the run. Anni was introduced to genealogy in her tween years as secretary and junior research helper to an unstoppable genealogy parent. She began seriously researching in 1994, before online researching when census records were only on microfilm. Anni continues to uncover more clues and plot twists in her family tree. A member of Society of American Archivists (SAA), Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild (GSG), member of Wisconsin State Genealogical Society (WSGS), and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).
