Bilingual Spanish Storytime and Crafts

Location: Village Center Meeting Room

Join us at Shorewood Public Library in the Village Center Meeting Room for a special bilingual (Spanish/English) story time with author and bilingual teacher Samira Álvarez Gretzinger, featuring her book Así Respiro.

This bilingual read-aloud introduces children and families to simple, gentle breathing techniques that support emotional regulation, mindfulness, and connection. After the story, participants are invited to take part in hands-on, grounding activities such as rock painting, bracelet making, and other calming creative stations designed to help children practice what they’ve learned in a joyful, age-appropriate way.

This interactive program celebrates bilingual literacy, creativity, and well-being in a welcoming community setting. All ages welcome. No registration required.
