Law Enforcement Myths and Procedures

Wednesday, March 25

6:30 pm

Location: Village Center Meeting Room

A core component of Happiness Falls revolves around the disappearance of Adam Parson and his family’s relationship with the police amid their investigation. The book offers a glance at how the police side of an investigation unfolds while also clearing up some popular misconceptions about law enforcement practices.

Are you fascinated about the work of law enforcement, from the big picture to the minutiae? Join us as Officer Greg Geniesse from the Shorewood Police Department offers a unique, inside look at the day-to-day operations of the department. He will discuss some of his experiences of his years working in Shorewood and Milwaukee, what happens in investigations such as missing persons cases, and tackle some common myths about policing. We’ll have plenty of time for Q&A at the end as well.

This program is part of Shorewood Reads, a "one book, one community initiative," with six weeks of programs, discussions, and shared stories, culminating in a day of events with the author on Thursday, April 23. This year's book is Happiness Falls by Angie Kim.
