Genealogy Class: FamilySearch

Celebrate Family History Month with this class exploring all facets of the free resource FamilySearch, and what makes it such a great tool. Learn how to search more efficiently, use the catalog feature, and how Family Trees can be used for clues.

Anni Parsons, MLIS, is the owner of Archive Your Past, and a librarian on the run. Anni was introduced to genealogy in her tween years as secretary and junior research helper to an unstoppable genealogy parent. She began seriously researching in 1994, before online researching when census records were only on microfilm. Anni continues to uncover more clues and plot twists in her family tree. A member of Society of American Archivists (SAA), Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild (GSG), member of Wisconsin State Genealogical Society (WSGS), and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).
