Imagine Your Story! Summer Reading 2020
Reading PROGRAMS
June 15 - august 15
Kids record books they are reading or books being read to them in a printed or online log. They can also complete some fun learning activities. We believe reading is its own reward, but to add a little more motivation, kids who complete their reading folder before August 15 will receive a reward packet that includes a book, coupons, and small prizes.(Reward Prizes are not available until July 13)
Registration for Summer Reading begins June 15. There are three ways to register. Choose the way that is best for your family.
- ONLINE - Register and log your reading online at https://shorewoodlibrary.beanstack.org or the free Beanstack app available at Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- IN-PERSON - Register in-person at the library during open hours and get a printed folder to log reading
- By phone (414-847-2670) for those who can't register online or in-person
Reading programs are available for kids of all ages - Read-to-Me, Readers, and Teens. Click on the links above to learn which program is right for your kids.
*The Summer Reading Programs are funded by the Friends of the Shorewood Public Library
Summer Events
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, most of our summer events will be virtual including Terrific Tuesdays, Art Cart and some story times. If health and safety guidelines allow, we may have limited in-person audiences at some programs. Click on the link above or visit our online Events Calendar to learn more. Please check back often. The calendar will be updated when new programs are scheduled or if programs need to be cancelled.
Shorewood Monarch Project
Watch metamorphosis in action. We will be raising caterpillars into monarch butterflies throughout the summer. Learn more about Shorewood’s efforts to protect and nurture monarchs at Shorewood Monarch Project and Shorewood Monarch Project on Facebook.
